CT1 Adhesive & Sealant 290ml Black

Most jobs need a sealant and an adhesive. CT1 is both, in one cartridge, and it holds better than either.

That comes down to the TRIBRID® polymer C-TEC developed for it. They rate it at 360% stronger than a standard hybrid, and while that's their figure rather than an independently published one, the practical upshot is straightforward: it grabs substrates that silicone and acrylic won't touch, and it does it without primers, screws or mechanical fixings.

Black is the one you reach for when the joint needs to vanish into something dark. Anthracite uPVC, black guttering and roof trim, steelwork, plant and vehicle bodywork, rubber seals, marine fit-out. On a light-coloured substrate a black bead shouts; on a dark one it disappears completely.

It bonds to all metals including lead, glass, mirrors, timber, MDF, polystyrene, fibreglass, concrete, tiles and most stone without staining it. Most plastics too, though not PP, PE or PTFE.

It'll also go off in the wet. Not just damp conditions but fully submerged, which is why it turns up so often in marine and emergency repair work, and it handles salt water without breaking down. Add good UV and vibration resistance, decent chemical resistance, and moderate resistance to mould and bacteria, and you've got something that stays put in conditions where a lot of sealants quietly fail.

No solvents, no smell, no shrinkage. ISEGA certified for food preparation areas, EC1 Plus with A+ Indoor Air Comfort GOLD®, and approved by the Norwegian Asthma and Allergy Association. Once it's fully cured you can paint over it with any common water-based paint, though not alkyds.

Apply between +5°C and +40°C. Skins in around 25 minutes at 23°C and 50% RH. Holds up from −40°C to +120°C. Hardness 55° Shore A, tensile strength 2.90 N/mm², elongation at break 385%, shrinkage under 3%, density 1.58 kg/ltr. 18-month shelf life. Recyclable 290ml cartridge.
